While I wait to make a difference, I will eat delicious Filipino food.

Halo Halo.  Strangely delicious.

As the whole baby part of my time is somewhat lacking right now, I am staying busy with learning philippino culture.  Tried halo-halo last night for the first time.  It basically is shaved ice with sweetened condensed milk poured over it and has ube ice cream, chickpeas, other strange black beans, candied jack fruit and bananas, sweet potatoes, jellies, coconut shavings, cereal, Flan and other things.

It is a bit discouraging for it to be so quiet at the clinic, as I came here to learn about mother and infant care.  But, now I know what is feels like to be pregnant in some ways.
LOTS. OF. WAITING.

Awkward picture of a tricey (I didn't want to be completely obvious I was taking a picture).  This is what I use to get around town in.  It is a motorcycle/dirt bike with a sidecart kind of thing.  About 12 cents/ 1 mile.

Wishing I was charting a labor......hoping the time will come soon.

Jeepney: The most common form of transportation in the cities.
